App art and animation can change; the physical safety checks remain.
Confirm the destinationReview the selected companion on the human-controlled screen before presenting it to the bird.
Secure device and cablesProtect the screen, mount, power, ports, ventilation, and small parts from tipping, chewing, heat, and moisture.
Begin quietlyUse a low starting volume and a short session. Observe posture, approach, retreat, vocal changes, and attempts to bite the device.
Grant permissions deliberatelyCamera, microphone, downloads, storage, and external media remain browser- and app-specific human decisions.
Keep an ordinary alternativeProvide room to leave plus normal perches, food, water, movement, and social choice.
End and reassessPause when the bird disengages, becomes fearful, fixates on hardware, or escalates beyond calm play.
