How It Works
This page borrows the working camera/mic and call foundation from the site's existing parrot-call tools, but strips it down into a simpler public room.
1. Tap a real button on each device
iPhone and iPad browsers are stricter about media permissions, so preview, host, and join all request the camera and mic directly from the tap that started them.
2. Host one room name
One device hosts the room. The next devices join that same room name and the page fans out the calls so everyone can hear and see each other.
3. Tune each perch separately
Every remote tile has its own speaker slider, quick mute, and fullscreen so you can keep one bird quiet and another louder.
Bird-Safe Notes
A live call is still stimulation. Keep sessions supervised, short, and easy to stop if a bird gets territorial, overstimulated, or fixed on the screen.
Keep the exit easy
Leaving the room drops the calls but keeps your preview, so you can calm the space without redoing permissions right away.
Use volume intentionally
Start low, especially with birds who flock-call hard or escalate when they hear another bird nearby.
Digital perch is future-ready
This page exposes a bridge hook for a future FLOCK companion stream, but the live digital-parrot join still needs its own integration pass.
